Open Knownhost and go to the Helpdesk menu which you can access on the sidebar
Select ‘Create Ticket’
Choose Support
Submit this ticket template; Priority: High
Subject: New cPanel & clone of existing cpanel – (NEW WEBSITE URL)

Hi,
I currently have a client cpanel with a wordpress website – (OLD WEBSITE URL) – and they want to change their domain name to (NEW WEBSITE URL)
Are you able to please create a new cpanel for this new domain and duplicate / clone the (OLD WEBSITE URL) website to that new domain? I will change the logo and do the manual rebranding later, but the website itself should be the same.

Click on Create Ticket once done.
From here, Knownhost will automatically create and duplicate the new cPanel user under the new domain. If not, they will provide the instructions to get it done.
Once the new website in the cPanel is ready, login to whc.ca. You will have to direct the new domain to our cpanel
Go to the Domains menu once inside WHC
Search for the new domain on the search bar
Contact your manager or Ary if the domain is not yet registered on WHC.
Select ‘Manage’
Edit the nameservers
We have 2 sets of nameservers.
If the website is built on cpanel.partopia.ca then the nameservers would be:
- ns1.partopia.ca
- ns2.partopia.ca
If the website is built on cpanel.smallworldmarketing.ca, the nameservers would be:
- ns3.partopia.ca
- ns4.partopia.ca
Once done, go back to domains and search for the old URL and click on manage
Add a domain forwarding
Forward to the new URL
Uncheck the Auto-Renew option
Login to cPanel. If there are two cPanels available after the transfer, save a backup of the old WordPress website and delete the old cpanel

Once you have the backup ready, upload it to the company Drive. Create a new folder with the client’s company name here:

Login to whm and then terminate the old URL
